Full Member Every person who on or before that date had duly applied or after that date duly applies to become and is duly elected to be a Full Member of the Company in accordance with the provisions of these Articles and upon election pays the requisite entrance fee;

Nominated Member – Every person who is the spouse of and ordinarily resident with a Full Member and who is nominated in writing by that Member for such membership and who is accepted by the Directors as a Nominated Member of the Company

Corporate Membership – Corporate membership is open to the Private and Public Sector organization which require a first class facility for holding meetings, seminars and entertaining Corporate Guests. Corporate Members shall be every corporate body duly incorporated or registered under the Act which applies to become and is duly elected to be a Corporate Member of the Company in accordance with the provisions of these Articles and upon election pays the requisite entrance fee.

The Corporate body nominates three members who are accorded the full privileges of Members. Contract agreement runs for five years.

Honorary Life Membership – In accordance with the Clubs’ articles Honorary membership is at the discretion of the Board conferred on a Full Voting member who has been a full Member of the Company for not less than thirty years and is or has been an officer or Director of the Company or a member of the Balloting Committee for not less that five years and /or has in the opinion of the Directors rendered other meritorious services to the Company and whom the Directors do at their absolute discretion elect as and honorary Life Members.

3) Full Members and Nominated Members are divided into the following sub-classes:

• Town Members, being those who ordinarily reside and/or work in Mombasa
• Country Members, being those who ordinarily reside and/or work in East Africa but not in Mombasa;
• Absent Members, being those who ordinarily reside and/or work outside East Africa.

A Temporary Member is either: a person who is not ordinarily resident in Mombasa but who is residing in Mombasa by reason of being employed to work on a temporary basis in Mombasa and who is admitted as a Temporary Member for a period not exceeding one year PROVIDED THAT the Directors may in their absolute discretion extend the said period for not more than a further two years;

A Reciprocating Member is a Member of a Club with which the Directors shall by resolution have decided to establish reciprocating arrangements.

(b) A Reciprocating Member shall be entitled, on production of a valid and current Membership card or other documentary evidence from his home club, without being proposed and seconded and without payment of any entrance fee, to use the premises in the manner and on the terms hereinafter contained.

(c) A Reciprocating member may not use the Club premises for more than twenty-eight days in any twelve consecutive months nor for more than two days in any one month PROVIDED THAT if any Reciprocating Member desires to use the Club premises for more than two days in any one month he shall notify the Secretary of such his desire and shall be liable to pay such subscription for each week or part thereof as the Directors may from time to time decide.
